We’ve come across some wonderful videos taken at the 1983 USTA Baton Twirling National Championships. This performance by Nancy Mitchell is a real favorite!
She does some skillful rolls starting at 0:28, particularly the front neck rolls at 0:41.
Competitive baton twirling has certainly continued to evolve over the years. I just love the perspective of taking a look at older performances. We are fortunate in baton twirling, to have had such a strong tradition of excellence and talented athletes over the decades!
