They won gold at the Australian Baton Twirling Championships

A big congratulations to our twirling friends in Australia, who were just written up in the Narromine News, an Australian newspaper. Narromine is a small town in New South Wales, Australia, surrounded by rural communities that include Trangie.

Kaila Henrahan, a twirler from Trangie, (and pictured in front), and her baton twirling team placed first at the recent Australian Baton Twirling Championships in Melbourne. You can find a complete list of all of the winners in Solo, Strut, 1 Baton, 2 Baton, Dance Twirl, Teams and other categories at the Australian 2008 Baton Twirling Championships website.

Nice job, girls! You can read the full story in the Narromine News article.

And speaking of Australia, it’s never too early to start making plans to attend the World Baton Twirling International Cup to be held in Sydney, Australia in August 2009!
