Heather (pictured far right) shares photos and memories of fun days of band camp and half time performances as a college majorette in Tennessee. She is now a 26 year old wife and mother. I know many former twirlers can relate!
I was a member of the Hayward Twirlettes (Hayward, CA) from 1959 to 1969. Patsy Hamilton was my teacher for 8 of those 10 years. I have wonderful memories of parades, bus trips, field competitions, Saturday drill sessions. Now I’m a grandmother of 10, but when I see a parade or watch a field show, or hear a John Phillip Souza march, I’m taken back.
